These guys are the real deal! I am so incredibly pleased with their integrity, service, and support. I had taken my car into the dealer earlier this week to check some things out under warranty, and the dealer indicated I needed $1600 worth of work. I took it to Roadmasters for a second opinion, and they did a full inspection and found I only needed $70 of work. They explained everything to us thoroughly so that we know what to watch out for and how to discern between the car actually "needing" work versus someone trying to make some money off of us with unnecessary work. I highly highly recommend them and am so thankful to have a trustworthy shop to take all of our cars! ~ Andrea S

Had a really good experience with these guys. I have worked on all my own trucks most of my life so not ignorant to issues and repairs. These guys take the time to show and explain the issues the best way possible for those that may not understand systems and operation of systems. Already having a good knowledge I could tell these guys were on up and up with cost and repair needs. I am a GC and like the auto repair industry we have a bad name because of some bad actors in the industry. These guys are honest, use integrity and really show that it's more than just profits it's about the customer and doing the right job at a fair price. Chris has taken care of our cars for years. From my husband’s 90’s era SAABs (🙄), to my little Volvo and our newer Chevy volt, Chris has kept us on the road and out of trouble. We followed him here to America’s Auto. We trust him to give it to us straight- what’s needed, what’s not, what’s bubble gum/duct tape-able. If you want a mechanic with a head on his shoulders-not the dealer reading you service recommendations out of a book-he’s your guy. Brie at the desk is also knowledgeable and friendly. We are budget conscious and really appreciate that cost estimates were clearly laid out and adhered to. Services completed in a timely way. Highly recommend. ~ Sarah W

I've lived in Lafayette for several years and this was my first visit to Roadmasters. Went in for an intermittent clutch issue that was not easy to diagnose. I had stopped at several local places for estimates and Ed was the only one who actually went outside and took a look at my car, so I decided to give them my business. Again, this problem was not easy to figure out, but they did a great job of keeping in touch with me, letting me know how it was going. Needless to say, but my clutch is now working better than it has for a long time (13 years and 175,00 miles on the odometer). Thank you Ed and David! Kudos kudos to Roadmasters! I had a completely flat tire at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and they were blocks away, so I drove to them for repair! Although they did not have time to do the repair, they checked and filled all of my tires and assured me I would be okay to go about a mile up the street! While Melissa (I think that was her name was) was filling my tires, Ed discussed safe driving habits with my 15-year-old and offered for her to come back in when she gets her license to learn how to maintain her car!! I took my Toyota in for a maintenance check up at America’s Auto and Tire in Lafayette yesterday and I’m so happy with the service I got. Chris did an excellent job on the car and let me know what work needed to be done, as well as work that didn’t need to be done. My car is running smooth and better even than when I bought it. I totally trust Chris, and will definitely be going back when I need more work done. Also, Bre was so nice and kept me informed every step of the way (scheduling, recommended work, cost, and when to pick up my car). Highly recommended - I brought my wheel in with a flat in it and they had it repaired not even in 10 minutes! DIdn't even have chance to finish the free coffee they offer. (I brought in the tire/wheel only, not the car itself, so it is faster than the usual service). 1. Flat repaired - check 2. Wheel not damaged - check 3. Valve stem cap intact - check You'd think number 2, 3 should be also a given but I've had tire shops both damage my wheels while repairing the flat AND also lose the valve stem cap that I had bought because these these specifically had the car company's logo on it ~ Tae L

This place was incredible when I had a tire emergency. My tire light came on just out of the blue, saying there wasn’t enough air in one of the tires. I called up this place, and they were available to check out my tires immediately. Turns out I had a bad tire hole causing an air leak. Same day, they were able to repair the leaky tire within a few hours, and they did an excellent job. I had been worried I would have to buy a whole entire new set of tires (Subaru), but thanks to these amazing folks, my tire got fixed so fast, and no new tires were needed. ~ Elizabeth W

We've been taking our vehicles (new and old) to Roadmasters for more than 15 years and have always had great service and fair prices for major repairs. During my last oil change I mentioned that a seat belt wasn't always retracting properly--Roadmasters researched the issue and found that the part is still within my extended warranty and I could get it fixed for free by the dealer. They didn't have to make those calls on my behalf and there was nothing in it for them other than my goodwill. It's service like this that will keep me coming back. ~ C M

I brought a vehicle in for a new alternator and the service was very quick with great communication at an excellent price compared to local competitors. I asked the service technician to check a few other areas that were recommended for service by the dealer. Rather than servicing something unnecessary to charge a higher bill, the tech said these services shouldn't be performed yet because all signs showed they were in good condition. This type of honestly will bring me back again and again. If you haven't tried out Roadmasters, definitely give them a shot. ~ Brian T

I am so happy I stumbled upon your shop in Lafayette. I normally go to the dealership but a warning light came on and I feared driving the distance. Bob and Collin took such good care of me. They were patient with me and so informative as to what was wrong. They are currently under management and Bob is truly making a difference in his short tenure. I have so many good things to say about David, Ed and the entire Roadmasters team in Lafayette! My mechanic of 32 years retired and I had to find someone else. These folks have been reliable, fairly priced and a pleasure to work with. Recently, my battery was dead due to being old and not driving much. David came to my house, charged it up and followed me to the shop, where they replaced it in about 15 minutes. The service is terrific and usually comes with a sense of humor, which I appreciate. ~ Lori W

Today was my first visit, and I feel confident this is an honest business. I had asked for an alignment, but they called and said my tires were too bad to successfully align the wheels. He did offer to sell me tires (red flag), BUT with zero pressure. I shopped around and bought tires elsewhere. And since I brought my own oil and filter, they only made about 18 bucks off of me. However, by being honest, they did earn my future business for oil changes and that alignment I still need done. Will update review based on future experiences. ~ Brandon T

I bought a 2005 Jeep TJ many years ago with the idea of me being the one that fixes it. I've replaced the radiator, rear drive shaft, shocks, all cv joints, heater core, and added electrical taps. However there have been times that I would come across things that I could not take care of. Like evacuating the freon so that I could replace the heater core on my own and most recently helping free a stubborn bolt on my exhaust that was preventing me from replacing my rear cat. Roadmasters' work is quick, clean, and profession. ~ David M

We had first gone to O’Reilly’s to simply replace a headlight in our vehicle After a search of exactly what we needed we were sold the wrong item to replace our headlight. Then we were told the installation was too difficult after we bought from them. In desperation we were searching for a shop we could pull into and get it installed in a few mins. We finally found America’s Auto & Tire of Lafayette. We were helped immediately and found out we were sold the wrong headlight by O’Reilly’s. So… we felt very relieved and super impressed with America’s Auto and Tire in Lafayette. They addressed everything we needed, got us the correct headlight installed, informed us of our options in replacing other up coming issues, all in a very efficient concise timeline and with a very reasonable, fair total for the complete job. We will always remember that this is a garage/shop we can trust and get great customer attention at fair prices! I would happily recommend this place to others as well. Thank you!! ~ Kathryn B

This shop is awesome. My husband I have been taking our very old cars there for several years now and they have never failed to take great care of us. It is evident that the business is run with ethics and honesty. No unnecessary repairs are ever suggested. My 4Runner has 240K+ miles on it and they help me invest the money I need to keep her going without throwing good money after an old car. They are friendly, capable and extremely honest. I was in desperate need of an oil change when I stopped in on a busy Saturday (pretty much out of oil). They were too busy to fit me in that day, but filled up my oil and scheduled me for a few days later. It was hugely appreciated as I was needing to drive to Denver and didn’t want to ruin the engine! I had been at a rapid oil change chain and had been waiting for over an hour and decided to go try somewhere new. So glad I did! You have my business now! ~ Bonnie A

Great experience! I had a punctured tire and I went here to get it repaired. I made an appointment online and got my car seen the same day. The staff was friendly, and it took less than half an hour from start to finish. I paid $40 for the repair. I don't know if that's a fair price, but I'd rather pay that than be on the side of the road with a flat tire, waiting for a tow AND pay for a new tire on top of everything. ~ Chris

Great customer service - greeted by friendly front desk staff person who was able to get me in for same day service for an AC recharge (during a hot summer). She also communicated promptly when the repair was going to cost significantly more. It’s this way every time I’ve gone there for tires or a simple oil change over the past several years. Excellent, old school service that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommend giving them a try! ~ L R

The folks at America's Auto & Tire are all around fantastic, kind helpful people. I had a leak in my tire that wasn't repairable due to the location of the puncture. Discount Tire told me I needed 4 new tires whereas these folks said my other tires looked great and that they could replace the tire under Continental's warranty. So instead of almost $1K, it cost me less than $100. Thank you thank you!!!! ~ Sarah T

These guys have been great; each time I've gone in they are running on time, are thorough, and then give me a list of what could be done, explaining what really needs to be done and what I could wait on if I'm not wanting to do it all at once. I went in for a service today (replacing break pads and rotors) that was estimated at $500+. I willingly agreed to do the service, knowing the cost. They called me afterwards and said that the pads weren't due to be replaced and still had a lot of life. So they just lubricated the rotors, pads, etc and charged me $59. That says a lot to me about their honesty and integrity. They only did the work that was needed. ~ Katrina W

Outstanding customer service and very respectful personal. I attribute the culture to Steve Soto the manager. I had the opportunity to sit in lobby while waiting for a service. Steve's personal care is just not one customer. He exhibits the friendly attitude towards everyone. I only trust one place to bring my cars for service.
